ABOUT YOU
You might be here because life feels uncertain right now – perhaps you’re feeling anxious, low, burned out, or simply stuck. Maybe you’ve recently gone through a major life change, such as a career shift, a move to a new country, or a difficult personal transition. You could be struggling with cultural adjustment, identity, or simply trying to make sense of what’s next. Or maybe you’re not sure what’s wrong, just that something isn’t quite right.
You may be a humanitarian or development professional, used to carrying a lot of responsibility – for others, for outcomes, for the world, often without much space to pause and care for yourself. Or you may be someone who’s simply curious about yourself, wanting to grow in a direction that feels more authentic and meaningful.
Therapy can be a space where you begin to untangle those thoughts and feelings, explore what’s behind them, and reconnect with a deeper sense of yourself.
Empathy inward is a space to turn care inward and explore what’s within. Wherever you’re coming from, you’re welcome here.

ABOUT ME
My name is Jovita and before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade working in humanitarian organisations, often in war-affected regions. I’ve worked closely with people who had been through extraordinary hardship and witnessed, again and again, how empathy and genuine human connection could create space for healing.
Over time, I felt a strong pull to support people more personally, not just in moments of humanitarian crisis, but by being fully present with the individual in front of me. I saw how powerful it could be simply to witness someone’s experience with empathy and to hold space for their healing and growth. That’s what drew me to retrain as a psychotherapist.
I’m currently training in an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Derby (UK), and I’m a registered member with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, and Psychodynamic principles.
SERVICES
Individual psychotherapy
Individual therapy is a joint process between a therapist and a person in therapy. People may seek therapy for help with issues that are hard to face alone. Individual therapy can help with anxiety, stress, depression, low mood, burnout, emotional exhaustion, self-esteem, family or relationship difficulties. It can also be about personal growth and self-discovery. Common goals of individual therapy can be to inspire change or improve quality of life.
As an Integrative psychotherapist, I offer individual therapy that is tailored to you. What this means for our sessions is that we can explore your concerns in ways that align with how you naturally make sense of things.
Expat therapy
Being an expat is not only about adapting to new places, it’s about constantly negotiating belonging and connection. Having lived in over 10 countries myself, I understand firsthand how relocation and mobility can cause a heavy mix of emotions, both excitement and loneliness, freedom and isolation, the question of where “home” really is.
If you feel lonely, have difficulties to connect with others or feel that people back “home” no longer understand your reality, therapy can help address those feelings and support you navigating the unique challenges of life between countries and cultures.
Therapy for humanitarian aid workers
Having worked in the aid sector for 15 years, I know what it means to carry the weight of this work. There’s rarely space to pause, let alone to acknowledge the toll this work takes on us. And when you do step back, it can be hard to talk about your experiences with people who haven’t lived them.
Therapy with me offers a confidential space where you can set down that weight with someone who understands the sector. We can explore the topics that are relevant to you: from burnout to navigating a country move every few years, juggling relationships while deployed or thoughts of who else are you if not a humanitarian.
